Jericho

• Believed to be one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities, dating back to 9000BC., i.e. 12,000 years ago.
• At present, it is a small town with population of 25,000 Palestinians. It is located in West Bank, near Jordan River.
• The meaning of Jericho in Hebrew is "moon". Other names : Jerico,杰里科, 耶利哥.
• The famous event was Battle of Jericho (in the Book of Joshua) : first battle of Israelites during Conquest of Canaan.
